I'm Jarisa,
For years, I was either activated and anxious or shut down and depressed. I couldn't stand to be in my own body, much less my own life.
I struggled to connect and maintain relationships. I was neck-deep in depression with no certainty of a future. Even after getting my Bachelor's in Psychology, therapy helped me survive but didn't alleviate the discomfort I felt in my own skin 24/7.
I didn't need to talk about my childhood. I knew it was messed up and I accepted I couldn’t change the past. But I was always somewhere between avoidant, numb, and dissociated, bracing for the next anxiety wave.
I'd tried all the wellness hacks: meditation, breathwork, journaling, affirmations. Some helped temporarily, but nothing created lasting change.
I just wanted to not be haunted by my past. I wanted to have a human experience without constantly struggling with my emotions. I wanted real connection, purpose, and expression. Surely that wasn't too much to ask.
Then I started applying my hypnosis training to my own life.
I learned anxiety was an entire world of experiences stored in my body. Every day, I took time to just be with myself. I followed my rumination into my body and noticed the stories underneath. It was never about the actual event—it was about how I was perceiving it.
As I witnessed my emotions and internal stories, my anxieties began to fall away. I was no longer triggered by my past or anticipations of the future. The voices became quieter. My helplessness turned to curiosity.
My nervous system finally learned it was safe.

I now live a life early adult me could never fathom. I feel grounded, safe in my body, and in touch with my emotions every day. I'm in a healthy, loving relationship. I can experience conflict without shutting down. I can handle rejection without internalizing shame.
